The story of Lucky One Mall begins not with retail planning but with industrial history. The mall was constructed on land originally owned by Fazal Textile Mills, a cotton ring-spun yarn manufacturer located in the industrial estate of Federal B. Area. The Yunus Brothers Group acquired Fazal Textile Mills in 1987.

As Karachi's population grew northward and the F.B. Area industrialised land became increasingly surrounded by residential development, the real estate value of the mill site rose dramatically. On October 8, 2008, Fazal Textile Mills decided to relocate its production facility to Nooriabad (near the Super Highway) and construct a mega mall and luxurious residential towers on the original land.
